GLORIOUS VICTORY FOR POLINI AT THE ITALIAN E-BIKE ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP WITH THOMAS OLDRATI
The first time that you’ll never forget. Polini Motori on the highest step of the podium of the first ever competition dedicated to the E-Bike Enduro with its new EP3 MX motor specific for off-road. One of the most famous Italian enduro riders led Polini to victory with the E-Bike Fulgur; Thomas Oldrati, 2008 World Champion, multi-titled in the Italian Absolute Championships, Vice Champion in 2019 and standard bearer of the historic Sports Group of the Fiamme Oro of the State Police.
A collaboration and a project born less than a month ago, which saw Polini and the exciting involvement of Fulgur Cycles united together with the aim of taking part in the FMI E-Bike Enduro competitions with the goal of obtaining a historic victory in a participation that had to break a taboo.
So, a great success for Polini Motori who participated exclusively in the first round of the Italian E-Bike Enduro 2020 Championship, held last weekend in Biana di Ponte Dell’Olio (PC) with the rider of the Fiamme Oro Enduro, Thomas Oldrati.
Oldrati won clearly the EXU class riding thanks to the support of the Team Fulgur and Polini, who made the E-P3 MX motor combined with the Polini Hi-Speed available to the multi-titled rider from Bergamo.
After taking the lead of the race from the first two special tests of the six disputed during that day, Oldrati was the great protagonist of this first tricolor E-Bike Enduro appointment, set up this year by the FMI, recording excellent times and demonstrating excellent performance of the Polini E-P3 MX motor.
From Polini Motori and Fulgur Cycles the warmest congratulations and sincere thanks to Thomas and the Fiamme Oro for this great result, which seals a valuable and successful partnership in a championship of great interest for all the fans of two-wheeled bikes with pedal assistance.
The excellent results obtained by the other three riders in the competition with the Polini E-P3 MX motor should also be underlined.
Stefano Passeri, multiple European and Italian Enduro champion, imposed himself in the Over 50 category with an E-Bike equipped with CGDE frame, finishing on the third step of the podium of the EXO class where Davide Burini obtained the fourth position also with E-Bike and frame CGDE; while Maurizio Vettor finished seventh with E-Bike Fulgur-Polini in the EXO.
